Call Cords

Options to Meet Patients' Needs
Some hospital units do not require the use of a pillow speakers for their beds and only require single button call cords.  Our call cords have a large contoured button that is easy for patients to use. They are designed and tested for rigorous use and engineered to the same high standards as our nurse call systems.
  • Tactile button feedback via an audible click
  • Safe to use in oxygen rich environments
  • Shockproof
  • Safe to wash or sterilize
Patients with Special Needs
Special needs patients cannot always operate a button on a call cord or pillow speaker. That's why we offer alternative devices – easy-to-use pressure pads, as well as breath-activated blow-in devices. These can be set up quickly in the room with a patient with special needs by unplugging the pillow speaker and plugging in the specialty cord.
  • Air bulbs (a gentle squeeze calls the nurse)
  • Pressure pads (patients can use an elbow to call the nurse)
  • Pneumatically-controlled
  • Safe to use in oxygen rich environments
  • Shockproof
  • Safe to wash or sterilize
