Patients with Special Needs Special needs patients cannot always operate a button on a call cord or pillow speaker. That's why we offer alternative devices – easy-to-use pressure pads, as well as breath-activated blow-in devices. These can be set up quickly in the room with a patient with special needs by unplugging the pillow speaker and plugging in the specialty cord.
